1-Year Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy Studies Certificate Program
The Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Studies Program will provide a theoretical framework and practical approach to understanding human development which will enhance clinical skills. Participants will increase their knowledge of how the mind of the child unfolds through patterns of behavior, attachment styles, regression, repetition, fixation, and the development of personality. Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program
(3 years)
This program has been designed to enrich the work of clinical practitioners and professionals in various disciplines by introducing them to psychoanalytic principles, theories, and techniques. By understanding the concepts of transference and resistance, the candidate will be able to work with a wide variety of patients and acquire the skills to develop a better theoretical framework and a practical approach for an effective clinical practice. Certified Psychoanalytic Program (5 years)
This program is the first formal psychoanalytic training program for nonmedical professionals in the State of New Jersey to be accredited by the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis, Inc. (NAAP). Its purpose is to graduate skilled psychoanalysts who are able to function independently in private practice. To this end, candidates are provided with clinical experience at the Institute’s low-cost Clinic of NJI Inc. and are helped in becoming established in the private practice of psychoanalysis. More
