“MATURE LOVE: A NEW STRATEGY TO PRESERVE IT”

COUPLES IN CONFLICT AND INDIVIDUALS STRESSED IN RELATION TO THEIR INTIMATE PARTNER, EXPERIENCE A RANGE OF DISTINCT PROBLEMS DURING EACH PHASE OF THE LOVECYCLE.  THIS PRESENTATION PROVIDES THERAPISTS (AND OTHERS) WITH AN ASSORTMENT OF CONCEPTS  AND TOOLS DESIGNED TO FACILITATE CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND RESTORE HARMONY TO THE COUPLE SYSTEM.

OBJECTIVE #1

Participants will be able TO IDENTIFY COMMON AND UNCOMMON LOVE BUSTERS, INCLUDING HIDDEN (UNCONSCIOUS) FORCES in their patients.

OBJECTIVE #2

TO UNDERSCORE THE SIGNIFICANCE OF EMOTIONAL COMMUNICATION.

OBJECTIVE #3

Participants will learn TO NEUTRALIZE THE PITFALLS OF INDIRECT COMMUNICATION in couple therapy.

OBJECTIVE #4

Participants will learn to teach clients TO MANAGE UNANTICIPATED EVENTS, PARTICULARLY DURING THE LATER STAGE (RECOVERY) OF MATURE LOVE…RELAPSE PREVENTION.

 PARTICIPANTS ARE PRESENTED WITH A STRATEGY THAT INCORPORATES AN ACTIVE, “ELASTIC” AND CREATIVE USE OF SELF AS A COUPLE COUNSELING TOOL.
