Mia Stephanie Howard is a Licensed Social Worker, earning her MSW from Fordham Graduate School of Social Services in New York City in 2008. She has been working as a Social Worker and Clinician since graduating from Fordham, helping people of all ages in hospitals, schools, and mental health organizations. Mia is a person centered therapist and a relational psychoanalyst. Mia integrates her advanced trainings in Art Therapy, Mindfulness Training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Yoga Therapy. Mia creates a safe space and meets people’s individual needs. Mia is an active listener, and a compassionate therapist.
Mia is also a certified teacher, having a MS Ed. from Bank Street College of Education. Mia taught children for over 20 years, as a Head Teacher, Staff Developer and Assistant Principal before becoming a Psychotherapist. Mia holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University Graduate School of Psychology. Mia is also a Certified Yoga Therapist from Pure Yoga in New York City. Mia graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University, earning her BA in English and Theater.
